APP / Android & iOS app development

App development, $6,500 / 1 month.

We build Android and iOS from one codebase and release on both stores together. $6,500 covers one month of work; it's not a monthly subscription. Most apps are done within a month; a much larger one takes longer.

From a one-line idea to the stores

All six steps happen within the project. No subcontractors in between — the person you first talk to sees it through to the last step.

  1. 01

    Planning

We map out every screen and how they connect. That document sets the schedule; if features grow, we re-plan.

  2. 02

    Design

We show key screens first and settle the direction.

  3. 03

    Development

Both platforms from one codebase, so fixes happen once. If you need other languages, they go into the structure from the start, so deciding on overseas stores later doesn't mean a rebuild.

  4. 04

    Device testing

Install it on your own phone — TestFlight for iOS, internal testing for Android.

  5. 05

    Store listing

We prepare the description, screenshots and privacy policy and submit for review. You approve the final listing text.

  6. 06

    Launch & handover

We show you how to manage the accounts and publish updates.

Apps are published under your own developer accounts

  • A new personal Google Play account must run a closed test with 12 testers for 14 days before going live. Organization accounts don't have this requirement, so if you have a registered business, starting with an organization account can bring launch forward by about two weeks.
  • To publish under a company name, Apple — and Google, for organization accounts — ask for a D-U-N-S number. It's free but can take from a few days to two weeks, so apply early if your schedule is tight.

If the app is rejected, we fix it and resubmit

We've had Apple reject our own apps over sign-in options, account deletion, demo videos and purchase restoration. When that happens, we read the reason, fix it and resubmit — however many times it takes, at no extra cost. Approval is up to Apple and Google, so we can't promise it. What we promise is to fix the stated reasons and resubmit.

Bugs get fixed until they're gone; edits are judged by size

Bugs
An agreed screen or feature not working as specified. We fix it however many times it takes — it's part of finishing the job, not a change request.
Small edits
Changing colors, layout, fonts, wording or images within the agreed screen structure. Free with no limit on rounds — during design, testing and after launch.
Discussed first
Screens or features not on the agreed list, a full design change after sign-off, adding server features later (accounts, payments, push notifications, admin pages), or new features and structural changes after launch.
When costs rise
We tell you the added cost and schedule before starting and proceed only once you agree.
Stopping midway
Before planning is signed off, you can stop at any time and pay only for consultation and planning. Once development starts, you pay for the stages completed.

Other costs

  • Server costs

Accounts, payments, push notifications or admin pages need a server, which bills monthly. It depends on the app and your user numbers, so we give a rough estimate during consultation. Servers also sit in a cloud account in your name.

  • Developer accounts

Apple USD 99 a year, Google USD 25 once, paid in your name.

  • OS and store policy changes

Quick fixes are free; bigger work is discussed first.

Working with a studio in Korea

Time zone
We're in Korea (KST, UTC+9). Most of the work runs by email, so you get updates in writing and can reply when it suits you. We work in English by email; video calls can be scheduled in advance.
Contract
Contracts are written in English.
Payment
Prices are in USD and paid by international bank transfer (Wise or similar). Larger projects have part of the fee paid upfront. We don't take card payments.
Ownership
Domain, hosting and accounts stay in your name, wherever you are.

What to prepare

This is enough

  • A few lines on the app (who uses it, when, and why)
  • Two or three reference apps and what you like about each
  • When you'd like to launch

Speeds things up

  • A list of screens
  • Logo and brand colors
  • Text, images and data that go in (spreadsheets are fine)
  • Business registration details (for an organization developer account)

Makes the quote precise

  • Whether you need accounts, payments, push notifications or an admin page (these need a server, which changes timeline and price)
  • Whether you already have developer accounts

None needed

A one-line "I wish there were an app that…" is enough to start.

Frequently asked questions

$6,500 — so you'll build anything in a month?

Most apps are done within a month. We set the timeline from the number of screens and features during consultation, and only if it runs past a month does the price grow with it. A two-month build, for example, is $13,000.

Do I pay $6,500 every month?

No. It's for the work period, not a subscription. Anything monthly after launch is running costs like server bills, which are also billed to your account.

How do payment and contracts work?

We send a scope document first. Once you agree, we sign an English contract and you pay in USD by international bank transfer (Wise or similar). Larger projects have part of the fee upfront.

We've shipped our own apps this way

  • Life-UpHabits · iOS & Android · KO/EN/JA

Habits, magazine, reminders and subscriptions change at different speeds, so the backend is split into six services. We built sign-in, push notifications and subscriptions ourselves.

Both apps passed App Store and Google Play review, and we still run them.
